Winners for the 2007 Corn Yield Contest were announced in late December. Nebraska had one National Winner. Jyl Brown of Talmage placed second at the National level in the Ridge-Till Non-irrigated class. Brown was recognized recently at the 2008 Commodity Classic in Nashville, TN.
The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) in St. Louis sponsors this popular yield contest. In the 43rd year, the contest had record 4,932 growers participate in 2007. Following are the top three places by category:
