Korean Grain Buying Leaders Meet with U.S. Corn Suppliers
Published Monday, July 20, 2009 at 05:34 AM
The largest feed buying and manufacturing companies from Korea sent leaders to the U.S. last week to visit with U.S. grains producers and industry leaders to try and increase the knowledge of the industry to aid in making buying decisions. They met with different groups - such as the National Corn Growers Association - in different parts of the country. Leaders were able to see the whole supply chain of the U.S. feed grains industry and better understand how the whole system works. The leaders said they are looking for the opportunity to increase the volume of distiller’s dried grains with solubles they purchase - and after meeting with several suppliers - they are now assured of the quality of U.S. product.
