The Nebraska Pork Producers Association is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Environmental Stewardship Awards Program. The Environmental Stewardship Awards are designed to promote and reward producers that are making an effort to make Nebraska’s environment safer and keep natural resources safe.
Applications are being accepted until December 15, 2008. The application process is made up of 8 areas. The top application, based on score, will receive $250, a plaque, will be honored at the Nebraska Pork Industry Day on February 25 and 26 and will be featured in the Spring 2009 issue of Pork Talk. Applications will be judged by a panel of pork leadership.
The top ten percent of all applications received will go on to represent Nebraska at the National Pork Board’s Pork Industry Environmental Steward Program in the Spring of 2009.
All swine production facilities are eligible and encouraged to apply. Send applications to the Nebraska Pork Producers Association office. For more information, please visit www.NEpork.org or call the office at 888-627-7675.
