The latest USDA Crop Progress and Condition report shows 78 percent of the nation's corn has been harvested, up 7 points from last week. This week's total compares to the five year average of 94 percent complete.
All but a few acres of soybeans have been harvested, says the USDA report. The report show 95 percent of the nation's soybeans are in the bin, compared to 96 percent for the five year average.
In Nebraska, 67 percent of the corn is harvested (93% 5 yr ave.), along with all of the soybeans. Iowa's corn harvest is 70 percent complete (95% 5 yr ave.), and 98 percent of the soybeans are out. Kansas corn harvest is 87 percent complete (98% 5 yr ave.), along with 88 percent of the soybeans (95% 5 yr ave.)
