Informa releases new crop estimates

Sources close to Informa Economics report the firm has updated their U.S. crop production estimates ahead of the Oct. 10 USDA Crop Production Report. Informa reportedly pegs the U.S. corn crop at 12.219 billion bu., down from their September estimate of 12.406 billion bushels. This compares to USDA's September estimate of 12.072 billion bushels.
Informa reportedly pegs the U.S. soybean crop at 3.001 billion bu., down from their September estimate of 3.035 billion bushels. This compares to USDA's September estimate of 2.934 billion bushels.
