A Box Butte County resident has won a brand new 2009 F-150 flex-fuel 4x4 supercab Ford pickup truck drawn at Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island Thursday.

Governor Dave Heineman drew the winning ticket and declared the winner to be Don Ferguson of rural Alliance, Nebraska. Local Box Butte County 4-H member Hadley Elder sold the winning ticket to Mr. Ferguson during the 2009 Box Butte County Fair.

Midwest Ford Dealers donated the Nebraska 4-H Ford Truck which began traveling across Nebraska at the beginning of June promoting the Nebraska 4-H program, as well as raising funds in support of Nebraska 4-H.

Over 4,700 raffle tickets were sold throughout the state with Box Butte County selling 778 tickets which are the most tickets sold by any county in the State. Box Butte County 4-H will receive nearly $2,000 for their participation in the fund raiser.
