It's officially out... you can now pick up your copy of the University of Nebraska .....Beef Cattle Report. The annual report is very comprehensive since so many researchers across the state contribute to the publication. The report covers all segments of beef cattle production from cow-calf management, grazing systems, growing, finishing and beef products. Dr. Karla Jenkins, Cow-Calf/Range Management Specialist at the University of Nebraska Panhandle Research and Extension Center says the 126 pages publication is a great reference guide for producers. Unlike lengthy journal articles written for the scientific community the articles in the Beef Report are written for the producers. Jenkins says the report is written in terms relevant to producers such as pounds versus kilograms.
The Nebraska Beef Cattle Report are FREE at research facilities across the state, as well as on-line at http://www.beef.unl.edu and select "Reports".
The report includes research from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln campus, the Agricultural Research and Development Center in Itaca, Gudmundsen Sandhills Laboratory near Whitman, Panhandle Research and Extension Center in Scottsbluff, West Central Research and Extension Center in North Platte, the Northeast Research and Extension Center in Norfolk and the Dalbey Halleck Farm.
