Dorothy was born October 25, 1936, at home in Aleman, Texas to Elsie and Edward Ebeling. She grew up and worked in the cotton fields of Aleman. She attended country school and graduated in 1955, as Valedictorian of her class where she participated in the Texas State Basketball Championships for three years. She met and married Willard Lundgren in Fort Hood, Texas January 17, 1959. To this union three children were born, Laurie, Michael and Jerrold. Dorothy worked in the family business, Lundgren Trailer Company for 32 years. She worked for the Nebraska Veterans Home for nine years before she retired. Following her retirement she was involved in the Foster Grandparent program at Lincoln Heights Elementary School for seven years, where she cherished her time spent with the children in her fold. Dorothy loved walking into places and having the children come up and give her hugs. She was proud to be a part of such a wonderful program that gives to the children, but gave her much in return. Dorothy loved the time she spent with her friends. She went to coffee, lunch and dinner often with friends and other foster grandparents. Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family out at the farm, making sausage and bringing her pea salad to numerous barbeques. She always enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and traveling and visiting family and friends throughout the Untied States. Survivors include her daughter, Laurie Lundgren of Augusta, Ga.; sons, Michael Lundgren of Minatare and Jerrold Lundgren of Scottsbluff; granddaughter, Breanna Lundgren of Kimball; and brother, Odie (LiLaMae) Ebeling of Hamilton, Texas. Her parents preceded her in death.
