Gering Tier One building demolished

It appears Platte Valley Bank will have more of a presence in Gering in the near future. KNEB News has confirmed the former Tier One Bank property on 10th Street was purchased by Platte Valley Bank from Great Western Bank for $225,000. The deed was filed June 20th of this year.

Russell Excavation in Morrill is demolishing the old bank building and is preparing the site for future development. Platte Valley Vice President Jim Kozal said he could not comment on the bank's plans, but they have little presence in Gering at the present time other than an ATM location several blocks to the south of the former Tier One property.
