Bluffs schools forming district advisory council

In an effort to ensure that community dialog is consistently recognized, the Scottsbluff Public School District is working to establish a District Advisory Council. The purpose would be to have a diverse group of people from the community meet and discuss issues facing the District.

Superintendent Rick Myles says members for the initial meeting have been selected, but they are still seeking additional members. Myles says the district wants to make sure each attendance center is adequately represented.

Myles says priorities and communication with constituents, including more use of facebook and on line chats to keep people informed will be two of the major topis discussed initially.

The Council's first meeting will be Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. in the Scottsbluff High School meeting room. For information or to become involved, contact the Administration office at 635-6200.
