Sidney man injured in Chadron area accident
A 35 year old Sidney man is listed in serious condition following a multi-vehicle accident Monday evening near Chadron. According to the Nebraska State Patrol, Anthony Munchau was traveling westbound in a 1995 Ford Taurus when he side-swiped a 2003 Wildcat camper being pulled by a 2002 GMC pickup driven by 61 year old Douglas Pavlick of Chadron.
The Ford then continued left of center and struck a 2007 Hummer pulling a 2003 Metalcraft boart trailer carrying a Lund boat driven by 49 year old Linda Pavlick of Chadron.
The Taurus then spun into the south ditch.
Restraints were in use in all vehicles. The Taurus, the boat and boat trailer were totaled. The pickup was not damaged. $8,000 damage to the Hummer and $3,000 damage to the camper.
Munchau was transported to the Chadron Hospital before being transferred to Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.
