Sidney man dies from injuries in Chadron accident

The family of Sidney man critically injured Monday when his car rolled on Highway 20 about 4 miles east of Chadron say he he died of those injuries last night..

His family says 35-year-old Anthony Muenchau died of severe brain injuries at Regional West Medical Center, where he'd been taken Monday after initially being treated at Chadron Community Hospital.

The accident occurred when Muenchau sideswiped a pickup pulling a camp trailer and a Hummer pulling a boat on a trailer, then rolled into a ditch. Authorities believe he may have accidentally crossed the centerline while trying to get a look at the Ash Creek Fire southwest of Chadron.
