VA, Box Butte officials to discuss future of Alliance clinic
Published Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 09:36 AM

V.A. officials have advised the Box Butte County Commissioners to not invest significant funds in remodeling the building, which the county has owned for roughly nine years. They believe one of the significant issues is a lack of patient privacy.
The V.A. currently serves 190 area veterans in the Alliance facility twice a month , but Peter Henry, director of the Black Hills Veterans Affairs Health Care System, says they would like to expand that service to several times a month.
V.A. officials are planning to meet soon with the Box Butte County Commissioners to discuss the future of the Alliance clinic.
