Scottsbluff Library Director Bev Russell says the revised design of the remodeled and expanded library will still provide what supporters wanted, simply without some of the amenities. Architects with the Leo Daly architectural firm will be in Scottsbluff Tuesday night at 7 p.m to unveil the revised design.
Russell says the design does not include a drive-up window that was part of the original design, but it does have an enlarged children's library, a separate teen room, a heritage room, study rooms, and enlarged meeting space. Russell says revisions will need to stay within a scaled-back $4.1 million figure
Russell says an outdoor/learning garden connected to the meeting room will help gain some of the space the library lost when the original design was revised. Russell says she's also happy the children's area is two to three times the size of the current area, and the study rooms will hopefully give students a place they can truly use to work on their studies.
