Chadron Police say a 23 year old Rushville man was arrested Wednesday evening on a warrant charging him with multiple offenses regarding the arned robbery of two men on the east side of Chadron Saturday morning. Chadron Police Lt. Richard Hickstein says Jared Kearns was taken into custody by the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office at a location in Rushville. The warrant charges Kearns with two counts of robbery, two counts of making terroristic threats, two counts of use of a deadly weapons to commit a felony, and one count of second degree assault.

The victims told police that while they'd been driving about 3:30 Saturday morning, two men in another car had followed and then accosted them...both brandishing weapons. They said the armed men demanded "property," and took items from the car of the two victims.

Lt. Hickstein says police are still investigating and working on arresting the other suspect in the case.
