Health Care Taxes loom large for Nebraska Small Businesses
Published Thursday, November 05, 2009 at 05:34 PM
Health Care Reform Legislation still has many issues yet to face, according to Nebraska's U. S. Senator Mike Johanns. He says the tax dollars needed for the Health Care Reform is $500 Billion in the Senate version and $750 Billion in the House passed legisation. Johanns says his fear is a lot of the taxes would be incurred by the Small Business owners. He says about 1/3 of the tax liability or approximately $150 Million will come from small business owners

Johanns says there are currently 41,290 small business owners in Nebraska and the taxes would be an additional 5.4% on top of their current tax obligations. The Health Care debate continues on the floor of the U. S. Senate.
