Scottsbluff Police are looking for the person responsible for the vandalism of several vehicles on the east end of the Westmoor addition early Monday morning. Police say witnesses indicated a white or gray vehicle with something hanging out the back door, possibly 4 X 4 pieces of wood, was used to knock out mirrors on the side of five vehicles on several streets throughout the neighborhood.
Gering Police believe two juveniles are responsible for vandalism of homes, business and vehicles in that community. No arrests have been made but Police say one of the suspects is described as around six feet tall and the other is about four to six inches shorter.
Police Chief Mel Griggs says the youth have been using rocks to do the damage in the 800-1400 blocks between M and U Street. The incidents have occurred during daylight hours and no later than 10-10:30 at night. A pop machine was also damaged at the Gering swimming pool and rocks have also been used to flood Oregon Trail Park restrooms.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 632-STOP.
