Gering Man's Pickup Strikes West Overland Home

A 42 year old Gering man was arrested early this morning after Scottsbluff Police say his pickup hit a home on West Overland. 42 year old Kevin Kampbell was arrested for driving under the influence, disturbing the peace and criminal mischief.

Police say Kampbell's pickup left West Overland and struck a utility pole. Police say the vehicle then re-entered the street and traveled about 200 feet before leaving the road again and striking the home at 220 West Overland.

The vehicle was a total loss, while damage to the pole and the residence is estimated at $1,000. Kampbell was treated and released from the hospital. The accident happened shortly after 1 a.m.
