Weimer gives long-time criminal 15-20 years in prison

Cheyenne County District Judge Derek Weimer has given a man with a long criminal history in Sidney a lengthy prison term. KSID Radio says Thirty-nine-year-old Raymond Borges was sentenced to 15 to 20 years in prison Tuesday on an Attempted Delivery of Methamphetamine conviction.

Borges was convicted after selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant in November 2008.

According to the Nebraska Department of Corrections, since 1992, Borges has done jail or prison time on felony convictions for marijuana possession, burglary and false imprisonment in addition to misdemeanors including assaults and making menacing threats.
