Wednesday morning in Box Butte County District Court, Judge Brian Silverman also sentenced 44-year old Craig Winter to one year in prison for obstructing a peace officer, 60 days on a marijuana charge, and 60 days for driving under suspension. However, those sentences are to run concurrent with the DWI sentence which means Winter will be eligible for parole in 10 months. He was also fined $2,600 and had his driver’s license suspended for 15 years.
Winter was arrested by Alliance police on Christmas Eve of last year during a routine traffic stop near 25th and Emerson.
