Smith takes "low key" approach responding to Hill
Published Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 12:48 PM

Third District Congressman Adrian Smith refused to be the aggressor Friday as he responded to comments by conservative independent candidate Dan hill that he is providing "timid leadership" in Washington and has not taken any action to address key issues like the growing national debt.

Asked a couple times by KNEB News to respond to Hill's comments, Smith refused to attack his opponent, indicating his voting record against big spending measures "speaks for itself."

Smith said he "engages every day with his colleagues" about the tough issues facing the country and expects to be criticized by his opponents during his re-election effort.
