
Widespread golf ball size hail and heavy rain inundated Chugwater Thursday evening as storms moved through that area, Draws in an around Chugwater were flooding following passage of the storm, which produced at least an inch of rain.
Heavy rain and gusty 60 mile per hour winds were reported nine miles northwest of Hawk Springs. Pea to quarter sized hail was reported six miles north, northwest of Morrill.
In Sioux County 21 miles north of Harrison there was gtolf ball size hail and fifty foot visibility during the height of the storm. Windows were broken on the home with numerous tree limbs broken off. Power was knocked out and winds were estimated at 60 miles per hour. Water levels exceeded bankful on Indian Creek and and moved into an adjoining meadow. Pea to penny sized hail enough to look like snow drifts and over an inch of rain was reported 18 miles north, northeast of Harrison.
