Scottsbluff council to consider plans for subdivisions

The Scottsbluff city council Monday evening will consider plans for two subdivisions on the north east end of the community. Owner John Massey plans to develop the Prairie Subdivision, which will be located east of 21st Avenue between 27th Street and 42nd Street. The subdivision is 158 acres and zoned mostly Agricultural residential. The preliminary plat submitted by M.C. Schaff & Associates indicates the smallest lot is three and a quarter acres with the largest lot comprising over thirty seven acres. The large lot would be zoned R-1B Rural Residential. there are no city utilities n the area and the lots will be serviced by water wells and septic fields.

The other subdivsion, Hilltop Estates, would be on property east of the Fairview Cemetery between 38th Street and 42nd Street owned by Hod Kosman. The 22 acres is platted for lots and is zoned partly Agricultural and partly R-1 Single Family Residential. Water and sewer districts would be formed for the proposed infrastructure. The preliminary plat will be considered by the council Monday night with annexation of the property and consideration of a final plat planned at the July 13th meeting.
