Community leader Joy McKay says she's excited about the new change in her life, Director of the Capstone Child Advocacy Center.
McKay , who's been in banking for 12 years, including eight and a half in Scottsbluff with First National Bank, says she's returning to what she trained for in college as the director of an agency that assists abused and neglected children. McKay has degrees in criminal justice and social services. Before her banking career, McKay served as a juvenile probation officer and a director of Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
Shelley Fales, Capstone Board Chair, says McKay was selected from among the thirteen applicants because of her training and desire to work in child services, and her experience in finance and writing grants, which fund Capstone. Fales says McKay is the perfect fit for Capstone.
McKay , who will succeed Lori Wold, will begin her new duties July 21st.
