A Scottsbluff man is being held on a $90,000 bond after allegedly attacking a man with a baseball bat early Monday morning. Scottsbluff Police say they responded to a residence in southeast Scottsbluff where 25 year old David Paramo was accused of hitting the victim in the head, the back and the side with the bat, knocking him to the ground. Police say Paramo knocked out the tail light of the victim's car as well before fleeing. Paramo was eventually arrested a block away hiding in a closet.
Police say the fight occurred over a woman and alleged racial slurs. Paramo is charged with second degree assault, use of a deadly weapon, criminal mischief, disturbing the peace and obstructing a police officer.
