Warren AFB under new command structure
Published Tuesday, December 01, 2009 at 01:19 PM

F.E. Warren Air Force Base at Cheyenne has become part of a new military command structure.
As of Tuesday, the 20th Air Force, with headquarters at Warren, and its units, including Warren's 90th Missile Wing, became part of the new Air Force Global Strike Command headquartered at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana.
Lt. Gen. Frank Klotz, who commands the Air Force Global Strike Command, says logos and patches the airmen wear will change.
But otherwise he says few people will notice any difference.
The daily jobs of the service members won't change either.
The command change is meant to bring a renewed and tighter focus on the Air Force's nuclear deterrence mission.
