South Dakota women arrested in Chadron drug bust
Published Friday, November 27, 2009 at 08:17 AM
Two South Dakota women are in the Dawes County jail after being arrested Wednesday afternoon in Chadron following a drug bust. 57-year old Charlotte Weasel Bear and 47-year old Geraldine Respects Nothing are being held on $100,000 bond each.

Chadron officer Bryan Linegar says the two women were arrested at a Chadron truck stop after making a controlled drug buy set up as part of a multi-state investigation. Officers from the Chadron police, Nebraska State Patrol, and WING drug task force were involved.

Linegar says police seized 8 grams of cocaine and about 2 ounces of marijuana along with scales, drug paraphernalia, and a vehicle investigators say was used to transport and distribute illegal drugs from South Dakota into Nebraska.

Respects Nothing and Weasel Bear are each charged with the same 4 crimes...felony delivery of cocaine, felony delivery of marijuana, felony possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, and misdemeanor possession of more than 1 ounce and less than 1 pound of marijuana.
