GURLEY, Neb. (AP) _ Cheyenne County officials say a Gurley man has been killed in a car crash south of the Panhandle town. Deputies say the body of 22-year-old Kyle Bunner was found at the crash scene a mile and a half from Gurley.
Authorities say they think the accident occurred around 4:20 a.m. Sunday, but it wasn't reported until 5:50 Sunday evening by a farmer who had come across the wreckage.
Bunner was headed north on north on U.S. Highway 385 when his 1998 Chevy Cavalier left the roadway and went airborne. Authorities say the car landed on an embankment and slid under a railroad bridge.
They say drugs and alcohol may have had a role in the crash.
