Chadron man found not guilty of child molestation
Published Friday, August 01, 2008 at 11:04 AM

Double Q Country in Chadron reports there were three principals in the case: Brodrick and his 2 accusers...a 24-year old woman who said he fondled her twice in the mid-1990's when she was 11 and a 13-year old who said he molested her from the age of 3 until shortly before charges were filed in 2006.
Brodrick took the stand Thursday and vigorously denied molesting either of the young women. Brodrick admitted that in hindsight he may have said or done things with both that were ill-advised, such as asking them for back rubs or hot tubbing with them ...but that nothing went beyond that.
The two women were the final two prosecution witnesses, and both were grilled by defense attorney Maren Chaloupka over inconsistencies in police interviews and over physical and mental health conditions that she said could be responsible for changes they blamed on being molested.
