Scotts Bluff County Public Works Director Rick Meter says the rain has continued to make the roads sloppy, and a couple of areas are now closed. (County Road 28 north of County Road J and the Schlicker road south of the Wildcat Hills near Banner County )

Meter says the east end of the county is the worst, from the airport east to the county line, Highland Road and County Road M north to Lake Minatare.

Meter says you can travel down the middle of the road in most areas, but those areas where travel is not allowed are barricaded and flags are up where the system is badly washed. Meter says allow extra time to travel on the gravel road system.
