Chadron man scheduled for trial for teen sex assaults

20-year old Ryan Chizek has pleaded not guilty to two counts of 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Minor and single counts of 1st Degree Sexual Assault, 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, and 3rd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child.
The girls were 12, 13, 14, at the time the alleged sexual incidents began while Chizek was 19. In an affidavit filed with one of the cases, a police officer says the girls all considered themselves active participants...not victims...with one saying she had had 4 different sexual partners.
Chizek's relationship with the oldest girl ran the full 7 months covered in the charges and included trysts at multiple locations including both their homes and an vacant mobile home they had to crawl to get into.
Chizek remains in the Dawes County jail...as he has been since his arrest in June...with bail from the 3 cases totaling $850,000
Under Nebraska law, it is illegal with a man 19 or older to have sexual contact with a girl 16 or under.
