Mitchell Police Chief finalists interviewed
Published Tuesday, February 09, 2010 at 10:13 AM

Mitchell City Administrator Ty Abernethy says the city should name a new Police Chief relatively soon after interviewing four finalists for the position. Abernethy says three of the four were from the area, while the other one was out of state. Abernethy will be giving the city council an update on the situation Tuesday evening.
Assistant Police Chief John Warren is serving as the interim chief. The former chief, Vern Hessler, resigned late last year to "pursue other interests."
