GRANT, Neb. (AP) _ The condition of a 12-year-old Nebraska boy injured in a crash between a car and his all-terrain vehicle has been upgraded to fair condition. Joshua Dahlkoetter (DOLL-cutter) of Grant is being treated at Children's Hospital in Aurora, Colo.

Perkins County Sheriff Jim Brueggeman (BREW-guh-men) says the boy was driving the ATV on a county road just before noon Monday when he crossed into the path of a car. He says a 56-year-old rural Grant woman was driving the car and was unable to see the ATV because of a row of evergreen trees.

Dahlkoetter was airlifted to Children's Hospital in serious condition. A hospital spokeswoman said she couldn't comment on the nature of the boy's injuries.
