ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) _ Parts of Wyoming are digging out from a snowstorm that caused powers outages and traffic accidents.
More than a foot of snow fell Sunday and Monday in the Lander area, while up to eight inches of snow fell in Sweetwater County. Gillette received about five inches.
The snow caused tree limbs to break and power outages.
Interstate 80 near Green River was closed for much of the day when a tanker truck carrying 12,000 gallons of butane overturned on an icy highway. Officials closed traffic on the highway in both directions until the tanker could be safely removed.
Some butane leaked into the air, but there was no fire or injuries.
Another storm system moving in from the north is expected to hit Wyoming this week, ushering in bitter cold temperatures. ___
