HOLDREGE, Neb. (AP) _ A south-central Nebraska woman who embezzled more than $700,000 from the company she used to work for has been sent to prison.

Teresa Erickson of Atlanta had pleaded no contest to five felony theft charges as part of a deal with prosecutors. Prosecutors dropped 11 other charges.

On Wednesday in Phelps County District Court, she was sentenced to five-to-seven years in prison on each count, but they will be served at the same time. She also was ordered to pay $126,000 in restitition to Sargent Irrigation.

Authorities say the 61-year-old Erickson took the money between 1999 and 2007. Erickson had worked at the company for 28 years.
