Extra law enforcement presence over the 4th of July weekend
Published Friday, July 03, 2009 at 12:17 PM

The Nebraska State Patrol in conjunction with local law enforcement will have extra officers out through the Independence Day holiday to reduce the potential for alcohol violations and motor vehicle crashes. Scotts Bluff County is listed by the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety as a priority county due to the high number of accidents resulting in personal injury or death.

The special enforcement efforts will be conducted in the evening hours Friday, July 3rd and continue into the early morning hours of Monday July 6th in Scotts Bluff County. A grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety will help pay for the extra law enforcement presence.
