St. Joe's runaways in court Thursday after Saturday pursuit

Two girls who ran away from St. Joseph's Children's Home in Torrington will be in court Thursday after they led authorities on a pursuit between morrill and Mitchell Saturday evening. Authorities say the vehicle, A Dodge pickup stolen in Torrington, crashed in Mitchell Saturday night after it hit another vehicle and crashed through two fences before hitting a pole.

Two business and a vehicle were also damaged in Morrill when the puursuit began. The pursuit reached speeds of 100 miles per hour .

The girls, ages 17 and 14 received only minor uinjures and were taken to Regional West Medical Center for treatment.

They will be charged in court with minor in possession, operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, criminal mischief and willful reckless driving.
