Public Works Director Rick Meter called out all available personnel due to flooding on Roubidoux Road in the Gering Valley area southwest of Gering Sunday evening, but the report Monday morning shows a lot of areas south of Highway 92 clear across the county need work. Meter says County road L, County Road 15 and Roubidoux Road are mong the areas where flooding
A resident on County Road 20 reported six inches of water on the road after an estimated three inches of rain fell. Late Sunday night Roubidoux Road between county road 19 and 20 was closed. Meter says if the rain would stop the repairs can be made.
Meter says overtime is becoming a factor in his budget and he may have to cut back on some other things to make sure he makes it alright into the new budget year.
The hail produced a tornado 15 miles west of Scottsbluff and hail as big as softballs ten miles east northeast of Hawk Springs, Wyoming in Goshen County.
An observer estimated six inches of rain near the Morrill and Banner County line at 7:30 last evening. Lots of hail and water was reported over Highway 88 at mile marker 39. Over an inch and a half of rain was reported three miles south and one mile east of Stegall.
