The Goshen County Commissioners have approved initiating a partial fire ban due to the hot, dry conditions. Goshen County Fire Warden Bill Law is asking that all property owners advise Torrington dispatch at (307) 532-7001 before they start a fire and let them know when it is extinguished.

Law says while controlled burning is permitted, the landowner should make sure they have enough water and manpower to prevent the fire from spreading. Law also says you are not allowed to burn hazardous or toxic chemicals.
