Scottsbluff Jaycees Fireworks Chairman Tracy Ford says about half of the $10,000 needed to pay for the annual Scottsbluff Jaycees fireworks show has been raised to this point. The Jaycees have been doing the show for 34 years and Ford has been involved for the last 27 years. Ford says the show is something he likes to do for the community.
Ford says the show will last around 25 minutes with over 400 shells in the initial show and then 1000 shells in the grand finale. Ford says about a dozen people work with him and Dan Thompkins to put on the show. Donations can be made to Scottsbluff Jaycees, P.O. Box 271, Scottsbluff, 69363. There will also be people walking around with donation buckets the night of the show.
