Scottsbluff Police say they will ask for arson charges to be filed against three stidents at Scottsbluff High School after two virtually simultaneous fires this (Thursday) morning forced the evacuation of the high school

Officer Steve Wescher says two girls are believed responsbile for a fire in a paper dispenser in the women's rest room near the high school auditorium. Wescher says the boy appears responsible for a brief fire between the second and third floor. The names of the individuals are being withheld pending the formal filing of charges.

The fires occurred around 9 a.m. and the one in the restroom caused enough light haze and smoke that fans had to be used to ventilate the building while students were briefly evacuated. The students were quickly allowed back inside the building.
