Published Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 08:25 AM

Three people were arrested and a fourth is being sought after more than two dozen pieces of clothing were taken from the J.C. Penneys store at the Monument Mall Wednesday. The suspects fled the scene after the thefts occurred around noon, but the vehicle they left in was located a short time later at a home at 11th Avenue and East 17th Street.

Officers tried to contact the occupants but they shut the doors and would not answer. A search warrant was eventually obtained and 27 pieces of clothing suspected of having been stolen from Penneys were recovered inside the house.

Arrested was 20 year old Amanda Stickley for shoplifting, 19 year old Chris Barnes for shoplifting and destruction of city property, and 19 year old Amanda Saxe for accessory to shoplifting. All are from Scottsbluff.
