Residents and visitors this fall should begin seeing new, burnt orange directional signs that will get visitors to key locations in the community. The Valley Visions Task Force with the Scottsbluff-Gering United Chamber of Commerce is spearheading the effort that is phase two of the Marty Shukert recommendations.
Chamber Executive Director Karen Anderson says the signs will be located at key intersections in the tri-city area and provide clear directions to downtown Scottsbluff and Gering, the Scotts Bluff National Monument, and the Riverfront Development area. Anderson says the signs, to be produced by Tom Cozad of Gering, will be a step-up in the signing provided visitors.
Anderson says the signage, to be produced by Tom Cozad of Gering, will likely be phased in beginning this fall based on funding. Anderson says the group is hoping to obtain the money through keno grants from Scottsbluff and Gering and grants provided by Scotts Bluff County tourism.
