Firefighters return from fire in Huntley area

The Hawk Springs and Lyman fire departments have returned from a grass and possible structure fire this afternoon in the Huntley area just across the Wyoming-Nebraska state line. Firefighters from the two departments were at the scene for approximately an hour and a half before returning to their fire halls at 4:30 p.m. Details on the damage is unknown at this time. The Yoder and Henry fire departments were on standby during the afternoon.
The firefighters fought the blaze in steady winds of thirty to forty miles per hour with gusts to fifty miles per hour.
