The Bayard boys and girls both came away with district track titles Thursday on their home track. The boys ran past second place Morrill 163-98. while the girls edged Kimball for the title 121-119.

The girls depended on the exploits of senior Amy Long. She won the 800, 1600 and 3200 meter runs. Amber Kistler was also a triple winner for the Tigers. She captured both hurdle races and she was part of the winning 1600 meter relay team. Toni and Terry Hulinski and Katie Reichert made up the rest of the quartet.

The boys side of the meet had many stars. Bridgeport's Jase Dean won the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes, while Bayards Nicholas Kizzire ruled in the distance races, capturing the 1600 and 3200 meter runs.

Another Nicholas had a big day. Nicholas Cooley of Morrill won both hurdles races and was part of the victorious 400 meter relay team. Meanwhile the Kimball Longhorns won both the 1600 and 3200 meter relays.
