COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Chadron State College’s Brandon Harrington and Travis Atter have been named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Players of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Harrington, a senior wide receiver from Grand Island, is the Offensive Player of the Week, while Atter, a senior kicker from Buffalo, Wyo., is the Special Teams Player of the Week.

Both played pivotal roles in Chadron State’s 30-14 win over the University of Mary on Saturday.

Harrington caught eight passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns. His first touchdown grab covered five yards, and his second TD was a 60-yard score. He also returned a kickoff 56 yards to set up a CSC touchdown.

Atter kicked three field goals and three extra points in the win. Thanks to the 12 kicking points, Atter moved into second place in the CSC record books for most points scored. He now has 291 points in his career.

Atter also set a personal best with a 48-yard field goal and averaged 65.3 yards on seven kickoffs, including two touchbacks.

The Eagles (1-0) will play at Pittsburg State (1-0) this Saturday. Kickoff is set for noon (CST). Both teams are ranked in the top 10 of the American Football Coaches Association Top 25 Poll
