
The Western Conference announced its fall sports All-Conference selections Tuesday morning. Gering led all schools with 13 selections for football, volleyball and softball.
The Bulldogs and Chadron each had six first team football selections. First team picks for Gering were Patrick O'Boyle, Dalton Wademan, Schyler Ferguson, Dillon Bindschadler, Saxon Lee and Josh Swanson.
Chadron's six first team selections were Zac Sandstrom, Nick Mitchell, Alec Holmquist, Will Brown, Charlie Marsh and Luke Janssen.
Scottsbluff had four first team picks in Zac Rada, Mike Morgan, Isaac Holscher and Spencer Smith.
Sidney and Alliance also had four picks each. For Sidney Travis Sweetser, Lance Christian, Thad Beyer and Jeremy Tucker were selected. Alliance's picks were Cody Anthony, Brandon Jerke, Conor Weingart and Mike Peltz.
Gering had two honorable mention selections in Hayden Martinez and Danny O'Boyle. Scottsbluff also had two honorable mention players in Sam Harvey and Michael Klein.
Gering led the softball picks with four including Bailee Anders, Marissa West, Kadee Land and Kayley Cooper. Scottsbluff had three picks in Nikki Derr, Marcie Sindt and Kira Bowhay. Lacy Westlake, Brooke Grant and Taylor Callahan represented chadron and Kensie Walker and Haylee McVicker were selected from Alliance.
Kelsey Empfield and Cheryl Salazar earned honorable mention for Scottsbluff, while Paige Winkler and Anne Farrington did the same for Gering.
The Bulldogs also had three first team volleyball selections. Kaylee and Shaylah Schadwinkel were joined by Morgan Greene. Darci Kaufman and Morgan Broussard made honorable mention.
For Scottsbluff Jodi Huddleston, Makayla Westphal and Nikki Carlson made first team and Sara Downey and Aimee Trumbull are honorable mention.
Other first team selections were Leanne Hinrichs and Shelby Budler of Chadron, Taz Uhrig of Sidney and Jordan Hooper of Alliance.
