ST. LOUIS (AP) _ A longtime executive with the St. Louis Rams and coach of the Denver Broncos in 1962 and 1963 has died. Jack Faulkner died Sunday in Newport Beach, California. He was 82. Faulkner had a 53-year career in the NFL. He joined the Rams in 1955 as an assistant coach under first-year coach Sid Gillman. He was the Broncos' coach and general manager in 1962, and was honored as AFL coach of the year after leading the financially strapped franchise to a 7-7 record.
