On Wednesday, June 4th, KNEB Farm News Director Leslie Smith spent the day with 4 flour millers and major grain traders from the country of Yemen, along with a representative from the US Wheat Associates based in Cairo, Egypt. The day long tour included stops at the Panhandle Research and Extension Center in Scottsbluff, Paza Foods grocery store, Scottsbluff National Monument, as well as road trip to Hemingford to visit the Cullan Certified Seed and Farm to see the varieties of wheat developed, research plots for the University of Nebraska as well interact with Hemingford wheat farmers Chris Cullan, Dan Walters and Bill Foley. The group then ventured to Hemingford to see Farmers Coop to tour the facility.
